Precast Staircases

Custom-engineered stairs with precast girders, panels, and risers.

The Cobute shutters for staircase create a shell consisting of left and right precast girders, ribs, panels and risers. The width and waist depth of stairs vary, so the Cobute staircase has no measurement constraints and it can fit any job specifications and many shapes and landings. As per all the Cobute Precast systems, only minimal shuttering is required.

Typical Sections

Before drawing scheduling of a stair, the floor-to-floor height, thickness of the finishes (bottom and top floors), treads and landing need to be established;

Provide dimensions (horizontal and vertical) required for the erection of the precast elements, for each inclined rib (must be indicated on the drawing)

The spacing between stair ribs can vary but should not be greater than the standard slab spacing, namely 530mm centres

The Engineer needs to specify the additional steel required at the top and bottom of flights

Polystyrene blocks may be used as void formers to reduce concrete consumption while guaranteeing lightness
